First Day at School

Yesterday we met up with our host Malena, very nice lady actually speaks good English and a very comfortable house, which is next to a wine processing company and we can smell the grapes. We have our own section of the house and as the details said she is a very good cook as well.
Today we walked to School (20mins) had a really good day. The School is quite small but very friendly with a real mix of students. Tina is in with 3 men, one 60 year old Niel from Denmark, who is a captain on a cargo ship who now lives in USA, Nick is a law graduate from Oxford and who has worked on a Polo Ranch in Buenos Aires, Gabriela is from Louisanna! Tina is in the beginners class, but they are not sure where to put Ian. He was in the intermediate class but told them he had a husband and two children, so they decided to move him down a class which disappointed him because the only other student was a female beach volleyball player from Los Angeles! now he is with a girl from Arkansas.

This afternoon's activity was a 2 hour Spanish guided tour around Mendoza which was really good. Tomorrow we have a cookery lesson and on Wednesday we have lunch in a winery so good variety. We are sitting in a cafe in one of the arcades as no internet at the house - so pictures and update whenever. We now have to go back to the house and do our homework in time for Dinner at 10pm!

Having said that Alice was 17 yesterday and that only seems like yesterday since she was born!! Keep safe and well Lol Juliaxxx
