Wow!

What a great day at Iguazu falls, exceeded expectations on all counts. Weather better than we thought although got a few soakings, speed boat ride amazing and wet, the views so varied and spectacular - just one of the best places we have ever been to (would have been even better if KT and Matt were with us). Off to the Brazilian side tomorrow and then flight back to Buenos Aires. We will give you all a rest from the blog for the next few days as no access at our cheap hotel! and then we head west overnight on Sunday to Bariloche in the Andes. Ian is hoping to celebrate Bournemouth's promotion on Saturday at the Waterfront in Buenos Aires with a large steak and bottle of red -lets hope they don't let him down.

Thanks for all the comments on the blog, good to hear from everyone, keep the comments coming especially the ones that say they miss me!
Have taken loads of photographs - beware of the phrase - you must come round one evening!

  3. Did you know that Guarani legend says the Iguazu Falls originated when a jealous forest god, enraged by a warrior escaping down river by canoe with a young girl, caused the riverbed to collapse in front of the lovers, producing precipitous falls, over which the girl fell and at the base she turned into a rock. The warrior survived as a tree overlooking his fallen lover.

    Aah, how romantic!

BYW, why is Ian eating steak and beer every night? Surely there must be something different for him?
